On our first night in L.A., we had the opportunity to be trained by Adrian and Ben who are part of Mosaic and who also serve in the area called Serve L.A. through Mosaic.Just a few key points that pointed out to me that night during training that were mentioned by Adrian and Ben were: 1) Faith without action is LAME. 2) We serve a God who LOVES to serve people. 3) God is already having a conversation with the world we(Christians) just need to facilitate in those conversations. We do this by taking the time to get to know the people we serve, such as names and stories. Everyone has a story and can't wait to share it, we just need to ask questions and people will open up quickly. As a team we are practicing Matthew 20: 28. We have come to L.A. to serve and not be served.
